Overcome

(G3528)
.let Elohim (אלהים) be true,
but every man a
liar; as it is written, you should
be upright in your words and be innocent when they judge you. These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have shalom. In Olam Hazeh ye shall have tribulation:
but be of good cheer; I have overcome Olam Hazeh. To him that overcometh will
I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down
with my Father in His throne.
Beresheet
32:28
And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Yaakov,
but Yisrael:
for as a prince hast thou power with Elohim (אלהים) and with men,
and hast prevailed.
Yisra’ĕl
means
“to strive with
Ěl, to overcome with Ěl, (then) to rule with Ěl”
ok lets backtrack a bit
Beresheet 32:1
And Yaakov went on his way, and the Mesengers of Elohim
(אלהים) met him.
Beresheet 32:1
And when Yaakov saw them, he said,
This [is] Elohim (אלהים)'s host:
and he called the name of that place
Mahanaim.
meaning two camps in Hebrew,
is a place near Jabbok, beyond the Jordan River, mentioned a number of times by the Bible. The precise location of Mahanaim is very uncertain, the Biblical
data being inconclusive. Although two possible sites have been identified, the one most widely accepted lies about ten miles
east of Jordan River. The other is located nine miles farther upstream on the Jabbok River itself. Mahanaim was in the same
general area as Jabesh-gilead.
The location is first mentioned by the bible as the place where Yaakov, returning from Padan-aram to southern Canaan, had a vision of Messengers and as a result divided his retinue into two
hosts, hence the town built there afterwards took two hosts as its
name This is regarded as a clear case of folk etymology for the place name by most critical scholars, and although the form of the name appears to be dual (hence two ...),
many scholars at the present day prefer to regard the termination in this case as a corruption of a shorter ending. From the
point of view of critical scholars, the place name was originally host, and
this and the presence of Messengers in the story, is thought instead to derive from Mahanaim having been a sanctuary from
very early times. According to the Biblical narrative it became a Levitical city
Sefer Yehoshua 13:26
And from Heshbon unto Ramath-Mitzpeh, and Betonim; and from Machanayim unto the border of Devir;
Sefer Yehoshua 13:30
And their coast was from Machanayim, all Bashan, all the kingdom of Og melekh of Bashan, and all the towns of Ya'ir,
which [are] in Bashan, threescore cities:
Sefer Yehoshua 21:38
And out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gil`ad with her migrash, [to be] a Ir miklat (city of
refuge) HaRotzeiach (for the slayer); and Mahanayim with her migrash,
Divrei Hayamim Alef 6:80-65
And out of the shevet of Gad;
Ramot in Gil'ad with her suburbs, and
Machanayim with her suburbs,
though according to critical scholars it had always been a city associated with holiness.
The dance of Mahanaim is mentioned in
. Shir Shirim
Song of Shlomo
[Nashim]
6:13 Return, return, O Shulamite; return, return,
that we may look upon thee. What will ye see in the Shulamite? As it were the company of two armies.
YHWH prepared Yaakov for meeting Esav by giving the patriarch a
vision of Messenger s. Yaakov had just left Laban and was about to return to the land and face Esav once again. At this point
YHWH’s invisible world openly touched Yaakov’s visible world. The encounter is described with striking
brevity. Four Hebrew words report the meeting: the Messengers of YHWH met him. Yaakov
then named the place Mahanaim,
possibly meaning “two camps.” He must have seen the camp
of Messengers as a source of comfort to his own camp as he prepared to re enter the land.
Only the overcomers are going to survive in the Great Distress of the end-time, and according to Scripture, Y’isra'ĕl, though they are to be tried and refined as silver
and gold is refined, will yet be chosen – again!
Yeshayahu14:1
For YHWH
(יהוה) will have mercy on Yaakov
(יעקב), and will yet choose Y’israe’l, and set them in their own
land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the bayit Yaakov (יעקב).
Yeshayahu 45:17
[But] Yisrael shall be saved in YHWH (יהוה)
with an everlasting yesha (salvation): ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.
YirmeYahu 30:11
For I [am] with thee, saith
YHWH (יהוה), to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered
thee, yet will I not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.
YirmeYahu 46:28
Fear thou not, O Ya'akov My eved, declares YHWH (יהוה): for I [am] with thee; for I will make a full end of
all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will
I not leave thee wholly unpunished.

3:1
For, behold, in those days, and
in that time, when I shall bring again the captivity of Yehudah and Yerushalayim,
Amos 9:8
Hinnei, the eyes of Eloahim (אדני) YHWH (יהוה) [are] upon the sinful kingdom, and I will destroy it from off the face of the earth; saving that I will
not utterly destroy the Bayit Yaakov (יעקב), saith YHWH (יהוה).
Mikhah 5:3-4
Therefore will he give them up, until the time [that] she which travaileth hath brought forth:
then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the benai Yisrael. And He shall stand and feed in the strength of YHVH (יהוה), in the majesty of b'shem YHVH (יהוה) Elohav; and they shall abide: for now shall He be
great unto the ends of the eretz.
Zekar'yahu 1:16-17
Therefore thus said YHWH
I am returned to Yerushalayim
with mercies: "My bayit shall be built in it, saith YHWH (יהוה) Tzva'ot, and a measuring line will be stretched over Yerushalayim."
1:17
Cry yet, saying:
Thus saith YHWH Tzva’ot
"My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and YHWH (יהוה)
shall yet comfort Tzyon, and shall yet choose Yerushalayim."
Zekar'yahu 2:8 -12
For thus saith YHWH (יהוה) Tzva'ot; After the kavod hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the
apple of his eye.
2:9
For, hinnei, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they
shall be a spoil to their avadim: and ye shall know that YHWH (יהוה) Tzva'ot hath sent me.
2:10
Sing and rejoice, O bat Tzyon: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith YHWH (יהוה).
2:11
And many nations shall be joined to YHWH (יהוה) B'Yom ha Hu, and shall be My people: and I will dwell
in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that YHWH (יהוה) Tzva'ot hath sent me unto thee.
2:12
And YHWH (יהוה) shall inherit Yehudah his portion in the eretz
Kodesh, and shall choose Yerushalayim again.
Zekar'yahu 8:3
Thus saith YHWH (יהוה):
"I am returned unto Tzyon, and will dwell in the midst of Yerushalayim: and Yerushalayim shall be called
a city of truth; and the mountain of YHWH (יהוה) Tzva'ot the set apart mountain."
8:4
Thus saith YHWH (יהוה) Tzva'ot:
"There shall yet old men and old women dwell in the streets of Yerushalayim,
and every man with his staff in his hand for very age.
8:5
And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the
streets thereof.
"
8:6
Thus saith YHWH (יהוה) Tzva'ot:
"If it be marvellous in the eyes of the remnant of this people
in these days, should it also be marvellous in mine eyes?"saith YHWH (יהוה) Tzva'ot.
8:7
Thus saith YHWH (יהוה) Tzva'ot:
"Hinnei, I
will save My people from the east country, and from the west country;"
8:8
And I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Yerushalayim: and they shall be My people, and I will be their Elohim (אלהים), in
truth and in righteousness.
Zekar'yahu 9:9
Gili Meod, Bat Tzyon! ha' ri i, Bat Yerushalayim!
Hinei, Thy Melekh comes unto thee, Hu tzeddek
and Yasha (salvation) ani (lowly)
and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.
13:1
B'Yom ha Hu there shall be a fountain opened to ha bayit David and to the inhabitants of Yerushalayim for sin and for uncleanness. And it shall come to pass B'Yom ha Hu, saith YHWH (יהוה) Tzva'ot, [that] I will cut off the names of the idols out of the land,
and they shall no more be remembered: and also I will cause ha Neviim and the unclean spirit
to pass out of the land. And it shall come to pass, [that] when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother
that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of YHWH (יהוה): and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth. And it shall
come to pass B'Yom
ha Hu, [that]
ha Neviim shall be ashamed every one
of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:
But he shall say, I
[am] no Navi, I
[am] an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth. And [one] shall say unto him,
What [are] these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, [Those] with which I was wounded
[in] ha bayit my friends.
The Shepherd Moshia
Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man [that is] my fellow, saith YHWH (יהוה) Tzva'ot: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones. And it shall come to pass, [that] in all the land, saith YHWH (יהוה), two parts therein shall be
cut off [and] die; but the third shall be left therein. And I will bring the
third part through the fire, and will refine them as kesef is refined, and will try them as zahav is tried: they shall call on my name,
and I will shema them:
I will say,
It [is] My people:
and they shall say,
YHWH (יהוה) [is] my Elohim (אלהים).
Prophecy against Hashem:
Yechezk’el 38
And DVAR YHWH came unto me,
Saying
Ben Adam, set thy face against Gog,
the eretz Magog,
the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal,
and prophesy against him,
And say,
Thus saith Eloahim (אדני) YHWH (יהוה);
Hinnei, I [am] against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army,
horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts [of armour, even] a great company [with] bucklers and shields, all
of them handling swords: Persia, Kush, and Libya with them; all of them with
shield and helmet: Gomer, and all his bands; Beit Togarmah of the north quarters,
and all his bands: [and] many people with thee. Be thou prepared, and prepare
for thyself, thou, and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them. After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter years thou shalt come into the land [that is] brought
back from the sword, [and is] gathered out of many people, against the mountains of Yisrael, which have been always waste:
but it is brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely all of them. Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm,
thou shalt be like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and many people with thee.
Thus saith Eloahim (אדני) YHWH (יהוה):
It shall also come to pass, [that] at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think
an evil thought: And thou shalt say, I will go up to the eretz unwalled villages;
I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates,
To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places [that are now] inhabited, and upon the people
[that are] gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land. Sheva, and
Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come to take a spoil?
hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey? to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods, to take a great
spoil? Therefore, Ben Adam, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus saith Eloahim
(אדני) YHWH (יהוה); In that day when My people of Yisrael dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know [it]? And
thou shalt come from thy place out of the north parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon horses, a
great company, and a mighty army: And thou shalt come up against My people of Yisrael, as a cloud to cover the land; it shall
be in the latter days, and I will bring thee against My land, that the Goyim may know me, when I shall be sanctified in thee,
O Gog, before their eyes.
Thus saith Eloahim (אדני) YHWH (יהוה):
[Art] thou he of whom I have spoken in old time by My eveds the Neviim of Yisrael, which prophesied in those
days [many] years that I would bring thee against them? And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against
the eretz Yisrael,
saith Eloahi (אדני) YHWH (יהוה), [that] My fury shall come up in My face. For in My jealousy [and] in the
fire of My wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the eretz Yisrael; So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping
things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that [are] upon the face of the earth, shall shake at My presence, and the
mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground. And I will call for a sword against him throughout all My mountains, saith Eloahi (אדני) YHWH (יהוה): every man's sword shall be
against his brother. And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood;
and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that [are] with him, an overflowing rain, and great
hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
Thus will I magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they
shall know that Ani YHWH (יהוה).
Prophecy against Gog
Destruction of invaders
Yechezk’el 39
Therefore, thou Ben Adam, prophesy against
Gog, and say,
Thus saith Eloahi (אדני) YHWH (יהוה);
Hinnei,
I [am] against thee, O Gog,
the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal
And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the
north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Yisrael: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause
thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains
of Yisrael, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that [is] with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every
sort, and [to] the beasts of the field to be devoured Thou shalt fall upon the open field: for I have spoken [it], saith Eloahi (אדני) YHWH (יהוה). And I will send a fire on Magog, and among them that
dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that Ani YHWH (יהוה).
So will I make My Set apart Name known in the midst of My people Yisrael;
and I will not [let them] pollute
My Set apart Name any more:
and the Goyim shall know that Ani YHWH (יהוה), the Set Apart One in Yisrael. Hinnei, it is come, and it is
done, saith Eloahi
(אדני) YHWH (יהוה); this [is] the day whereof I have spoken. And they that dwell in the cities of Yisrael
shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and
the handstaves, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: So that they shall take no wood out of the
field, neither cut down [any] out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: and they shall spoil those that
spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them, saith Eloahi (אדני) YHWH (יהוה). And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will give
unto Gog a place there of graves in Yisrael, the valley of the passengers on the east of the sea: and it shall stop the [noses]
of the passengers: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude: and they shall call [it] The Gey Hamon Gog.
And seven months shall Beit Yisrael be burying of them, that they may cleanse the land. Yea, all the people of the land shall bury [them]; and it shall be to them a renown the day that I shall
be glorified, saith
Eloahi (אדני) YHWH (יהוה). And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing
through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: after the end of
seven months shall they search. And the passengers [that] pass through the land,
when [any] seeth a etzem adam (human's bone), then shall he set up a sign by it, till the buriers have buried it in the Gey
Hamon Gog. And also the name of the city [shall be] Hamonah. Thus shall they cleanse the land.
And, thou Ben Adam, thus saith Eloahi (אדני) YHWH (יהוה); Speak unto every feathered fowl, and to every beast of the field, Assemble
yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to My sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, [even] a great sacrifice
upon the mountains of Yisrael, that ye may eat flesh, and drink blood. Ye shall
eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks,
all of them fatlings of Bashan. And ye shall eat fat till ye be full, and drink blood till ye be drunken, of My sacrifice which I have
sacrificed for you. Thus ye shall be filled at My table with horses and chariots, with mighty men, and with all men of war,
saith Eloahi (אדני) YHWH (יהוה). And I
will set My glory among the Goyim, and all the Goyim shall see My shofatim that I have executed, and My hand that I have laid
upon them. So Beit Yisrael shall know that Ani YHWH (יהוה) their Elohim (אלהים) from that day and forward. And the Goyim shall know that Beit Yisrael went into captivity for their iniquity:
because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I My face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell
they all by the sword. According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid
My face from them. Therefore thus saith Eloahi (אדני) YHWH (יהוה); Now will I bring again the captivity of Yaakov, and have mercy upon the
whole Beit Yisrael, and will be jealous for My Set apart Name; After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses
whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made [them] afraid. When I have brought
them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many
nations; Then shall they know that Ani
YHWH (יהוה) their Eloahi (אלהים), which caused them to be led into captivity among the Goyim: but
I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. Neither will I hide My face any more
from them: for I have poured out My spirit upon Beit Yisrael, saith Eloahi (אדני
