From H6419; intercession,
supplication; by implication a hymn: - prayer.
“Watch and pray, lest you enter
into trial. The spirit indeed is eager, but the flesh is weak.”
(Mat 6:5 The Scriptures '98+)
“And when you pray, you shall
not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the congregations and on the corners of the streets, to be seen
by men. Truly, I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you pray, go into your room, and having shut your door,
pray to your Father who is in the secret place. And your Father who sees in secret shall reward you openly. “And when
praying, do not keep on babbling like the gentiles. For they think that they shall be heard for their many words. “Therefore
do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask Him. “This, then, is the way you should pray:
‘Our Father who is in the heavens, let Your Name be set-apart, let Your
reign come, let Your desire be done on earth as it is in heaven. ‘Give
us today our daily bread. ‘And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our
debtors. ‘And do not lead us into trial, but deliver us from
the wicked one – because Yours is the reign and the power and the esteem, forever. Amĕn.

From a derivative of G4192; toil, that is, (by implication)
anguish: - pain hurtful, that is, evil (properly in effect
or influence, and thus differing from G2556, worthless, that is, (subjectively) depraved, or (objectively) injurious:
- bad, evil, harm, ill, noisome, wicked.
which refers rather to essential character, , degeneracy
from original virtue); figuratively calamitous; also (passively) ill, that is, diseased; but especially
(morally) culpable, that is, derelict, vicious, facinorous; neuter (singular) mischief,
malice, or (plural) guilt; masculine (singular) the devil, or (plural) sinners: - bad, evil, grievous,
harm, lewd, malicious, wicked (-ness). more evil: - more wicked.
אל תביאני, "do not lead me" neither
into sin, nor into transgression and iniquity, ולא לידי
נסיון, "nor into temptation", or "into the hands of temptation";''
That is, into the power of it, so
as to be overcome by it, and sink under it; in which sense the phrase is to be understood here. We are not here taught to
pray against temptations at all, or in any sense, for they are sometimes needful and useful; but that they may not have the
power over us, and destroy us. There are various sorts of temptations. There are the temptations of Yahweh; who may be said
to tempt, not by infusing anything that is sinful, or by soliciting to it; but by enjoining things hard and disagreeable to
nature, as in the case of Abraham; by afflicting, either in body or estate, of which Job is an instance; by permitting and
letting loose the reins to Satan, and a man's own corruptions; by withdrawing his presence, and withholding the communications
of his grace; and sometimes by suffering false prophets to arise among his people: his ends in them are on his own account,
the display of his power; grace, wisdom, and faithfulness; on account of his Son, that his saints might be like him, and he
might have an opportunity of exercising his power and pity: and on his people's account, that they might be humbled; their
faith and patience tried; might see their weakness, and need of Yahweh’shua,
and be excited to prayer and watchfulness. There are also the temptations of Satan; which lie in soliciting to evil, suggesting
hard and blasphemous thoughts of yahweh, and filling with doubts and fears; which
are cunningly formed by him, and are very afflictive. There are moreover the temptations of the world, which arise from poverty
and riches, from the men of the world, the lusts of it, and from both its frowns and flatteries: add to all this, that there
are temptations arising from a man's own heart. Now, in this petition, the children of Yahweh pray, that they may be kept
from every occasion and object of sinning; from those sins they are most inclined to; that Yahweh would not leave them to
Satan, and their own corrupt hearts; nor suffer them to sink under the weight of temptations of any sort; but that, in the
issue, they might have a way to escape, and be victorious over all.
But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those cursing
you, do good to those hating you, and pray for those insulting you and persecuting you, , He went up to the mountain by Himself
to pray. And when evening had come, He was alone there.
a man came
up to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, “Master, have compassion on
my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers badly, for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. “And I brought him to Your taught ones, but they were unable to heal him.” And יהושע answering, said, “O generation, unbelieving and perverted, how long shall I be with you? How long shall
I put up with you? Bring him here to Me.” And יהושע rebuked the demon, and he
came out of him. And the child was healed from that hour. Then the taught ones
came to יהושע by Himself and said, “Why were we unable to cast him out?” And
יהושע said to them, “Because of your unbelief, for truly, I say to you, if you have belief as a mustard seed,
you shall say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it shall move. And no matter shall be impossible
for you. “But this kind does not go out except through prayer and fasting.”
Then young children
were brought to Him to lay His hands on them and pray, and the taught ones rebuked them. But
יהושע said, “Allow the young
children and do not stop them from coming to Me, for of such is the reign of the heavens.”
And having laid hands on them He went from there.
And יהושע went into the Set-apart Place of Elohim “It has been written, ‘My House shall
be called a house of prayer,’ And יהושע , said to them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have belief
and do not doubt, you shall not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to
this mountain, ‘Be removed and be thrown into the sea,’ it shall be done. “And
whatever you askin prayer, believing, you shall receive.” And whoever exalts himself shall be humbled,
andwhoever
humbles himself shall be exalted. Watch and pray, lest you enter into trial. The spirit indeed is eager, but the flesh is weak.”
And He was teaching, saying to them, “Has it not been written, ‘My House shall be called a house of prayer for all
nations’? Because of this I say to you, whatever you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall
have them. “And whenever you stand praying, if you hold whatever against anyone, forgive, so that your Father in the heavens
shall also forgive you your trespasses. served Elohim with fastings and prayers night and day. for your prayer is heard. “Bless those cursing you, and pray for those insulting you. Then He said
to them, “The harvest indeed is great, but the workers are few, therefore pray the Master of the harvest to send out
workers into His harvest. Watch then at all times, and pray that you be counted worthy to escape all this about to take place,
and to stand before the Son of Aḏam.” But I have prayed for you, that your belief should not fail. And when you have turned, strengthen your
brothers.” and falling on His knees He was praying, And being in agony, He was praying more earnestly. And His sweat
became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground. And rising up from prayer, and coming to His taught ones, Rise
and pray, lest you enter into trial.” “In that day you shall ask in My Name, and I do not say to you that I shall
pray the Father on your behalf, “I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me,
for they are Yours. “I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the wicked
one. And I do not pray for these alone, but also for those believing in Me through their word, All these were continuing
with one mind in prayer and supplication And praying they said, “You, יהוה, who know the hearts of all, And they were continuing
steadfastly in the teaching of the emissaries, and in the fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and in the prayers And
when they had prayed, the place where they came together was shaken. And they were all filled with the Set-apart Spirit, and
they spoke the word of Elohim with boldness. we shall give ourselves continually to prayer and to serving the Word.”
dedicated, and fearing Elohim , doing many kind deeds to the people, and praying to Elohim always. “Your prayers and
your kind deeds have come up for a remembrance before Elohim. praying and singing songs to Elohim, always asking in my prayers,
if at all possible, I shall be blessed by the desire of Elohim, to come to you. And in the same way the Spirit does help in
our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray, but the Spirit Himself pleads our case for us with groanings unutterable.
Truly brothers, my heart’s desire and prayer to Elohim for Yisra’ĕl is for deliverance. rejoicing in the
expectancy, enduring under pressure, continuing steadfastly in prayer; through our Master יהושע Messiah, and through the love of the Spirit, to
strive together with me in prayers for me, unto Elohim, Do not deprive one another except with agreement for a time, to give
yourselves to fasting and prayer. And come together again so that Satan does not try you because of your lack of self-control.
Every man praying or prophesying, having his head covered, brings shame to his Head. And every woman praying or prophesying
with her head uncovered brings shame to her head, for that is one and the same as if her head were shaved. is it proper for
a woman to pray to Elohim with her head uncovered? For if I am praying in a tongue, my spirit is praying, but my understanding
is without fruit. Therefore, he who is speaking in a tongue, let him pray that he might interpret.
What then is
it? I shall pray with the spirit, and I shall also pray with the understanding. I shall sing with the spirit, and I shall
also sing with the understanding. you also helping together in prayer for us, that thanks shall be given by many on our behalf
for the favour bestowed upon us through many. and by their prayer for you, who long for you because of the exceeding favour of Elohim in you. But I pray, that when I am present, I might not be bold with that bravery by which
I think to be bold against some who reckon us as if we walked according to the flesh. And we pray to Elohim that you do no
evil at all – not that we should appear approved, but that you should do what is right, even though we should appear
unapproved. For we rejoice when we are weak and you are strong. And this also we pray for: your perfection do not cease giving
thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers I pray therefore, that you do not lose heart at my pressures on your behalf,
which is your esteem. praying at all times, with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, watching in all perseverance and
supplication for all the set-apart ones; In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy, And this I pray, that your
love might extend more and more in knowledge and all discernment, For I know that this shall turn out for my deliverance through
your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of יהושע Messiah, Do not worry at all, but in every
matter, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to Elohim. We give thanks to the
Elohim and Father of our Master יהושע Messiah, praying always for you, That is also why we, from
the day we heard, have not ceased praying for you, and asking that you be filled with the knowledge of His desire in all wisdom
and spiritual understanding, Continue in prayer, watching therein, with thanksgiving, a servant of Messiah, greets you, always
wrestling for you in prayers, so that you stand perfect1 and complete in all the desire of Elohim. We give thanks
to Elohim always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, ght and day praying exceedingly, to see your face and
make complete what is lacking in your belief? To this end we always pray for you that our Elohim would count you worthy of this calling,
and complete all the good pleasure of goodness, and the work of belief with power, so that the Word of יהוה spreads rapidly and be praised,
as also with you, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for all men, So I resolve that the men pray
everywhere, lifting up hands that are set-apart, without wrath and disputing. for it is set apart by the Word of Elohim and
prayer. trusts in Elohim and continues in petitions and prayers night and day. I thank Elohim, whom I serve with a clear conscience,
as my forefathers did, as I unceasingly remember you in my prayers night and day, I always thank my Elohim when I mention
you in my prayers for I trust that through your prayers I shall be given to you. who, in the days of His flesh, when He had
offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to Him who was able to save Him from death, and was heard because
of His reverent fear, Is any of you suffering evil? Let him pray. Is anyone in good spirits? Let him sing psalms. Is anyone
among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, having anointed him with oil in the
Name of the Master. nd the prayer of the belief shall save the sick, and the Master shall raise him up. And if he has committed
sins, he shall be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, so
that you are healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous one accomplishes much. Ěliyahu was a man with feelings like us,
and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain. And it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed
again, and the heaven gave rain, and the land brought forth its fruit. “Because the eyes of יהוה are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their prayers, but the face of יהוה is against those who
do evil But the end of all has drawn near. Therefore be sober-minded, and be attentive in the prayers. If anyone sees his
brother sinning a sin, not unto death, he shall ask, and He shall give him life for those not sinning unto death. There is a sin
unto death. I do not say that he should pray about that. Beloved ones, I pray for you to do well in every way, and be in health,
as your life is doing well. building yourselves up on your most set-apart belief, praying in the Set-apart Spirit, nd when
He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and
golden bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of the set-apart ones. And another messenger came and stood at the
altar, holding a golden censer, and much incense was given to him, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the set-apart
ones upon the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the set-apart ones,
went up before Elohim from the hand of the messenger.
Pray for one another to
our father in heaven,
