An ambassador in
bonds:
For when for the time ye ought to be teachers,
ye have need that one teach
you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of Elohim;
and are become such as have need of milk, and not of solid
food.
For every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word tzedek: for he is a babe.
But solid food belongeth to them
that are of full age, [even] those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Ivrim 5:12-14
In order to grow from infant Believers to mature Natsarims,
we
must learn discernment.
We must train our conscience,
our
senses,
our mind, and our body to distinguish good from evil.
Can you recognize temptation before it traps you?
Can
you tell the difference between a correct use of Scripture and a mistaken one?
The "rules of the world" are the beliefs of pagans.
Kolossaeus2:8
Beware lest any man spoil
you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Moshiach.
"Beware of intellectualism
One philosophical view called "intellectualism" or "Socratic
intellectualism", said to originate with Socrates, is the view that "one will do what is right or best just as soon as one truly understands what is right or best."
This is because on Socrates' view virtue is a purely intellectual matter, virtue is of a kind with knowledge.
of the philosophy and psychology the world values,"
"They're vain.
They're
empty.
They don't work.
Kolossaeus 2:20
Wherefore if ye be dead with
Moshiach from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,
Watch out for asceticism.
Asceticism (Greek: askēsis) describes a life-style characterized by abstinence from various sorts of worldly pleasures (especially sexual activity and consumption of alcohol) often with the aim of pursuing
religious and spiritual goals. Indian religions (including yoga) teach that salvation and liberation involve a process of mind-body transformation that is effected through practicing restraint with respect to actions of body,
speech and mind, whereas Christianity mandates that Jesus does this for them.
"Discipline yourself in such a way that you deny your body,
your family,
your marriage partner.
Deny.
Deny. Deny.
And in so doing,
you
will be showing true spirituality."
Galates 2:15
We [who are] Yehudim by nature,
and not chote'im (sinners) of the Goyim,
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the Torah,
but by
the emunah of YHWH’shua (יהושע) Moshiach, even we have believed in YHWH’shua
Moshiach, that we might be justified by the emunah of Moshiach, and not by the works of the Torah: for by the works of the
Torah shall no flesh be justified.
We cannot reach up to YHWH by following rules of pious
self-denial, by observing rituals, or by practicing religion.. But keeping laws or rules will not earn salvation. The Good
News is that YHWH reaches down to human beings, and he asks for our response. Man-made religions focus on human effort;
Believers must put aside sinful desires, doing so is the by-product of our new life in YHWH’shua HaMoschiach,.
Our salvation does not depend on our own discipline and rule keeping but on the power of YHWH’shua's death and resurrection.
Rhomaios 6:3
Know ye not, that so many
of us as were immersed into YHWH’shua (יהושע) ha Moshiach were immersed into His
death? Therefore we are buried with Him by immersion into death: that like as Moshiach was raised up
from the dead by the kavod ha Avi, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted
together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also [in the likeness] of [his] resurrection:
Kolossaeus 3:1
If ye then be risen with Moshiach,
seek those things which are above, where Moshiach sitteth on the right hand of Elohim. Set your affection on things above,
not on things on the earth. For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Moshiach in Elohim. When Moshiach, [who is] our life,
shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
Set your sights on the
realities of His coming Kingdom strive to put HIs priorities into daily practice. Letting His WORD fill our thoughts means
concentrating on the eternal rather than the temporal.
Philippesios 4:5
Let your moderation be known
unto all men. YHWH [is] at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by tefillah and supplication
(petition) with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto Elohim. And the shalom of Elohim, which
passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Moshiach YHWH’shua (ישוע).
This peace is felt, is part of the gift of YHWH, in there righteousness, often i sit and ponder this wonderful gift
YHWH's peace is different from the world's peace
Yochanan 14:26
But the Comforter,
[which is] the Ruach HaKodesh, whom the Father will send in My name, he shall teach you all things, and bring
all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
True peace
is not found in positive thinking, in absence of conflict, or in good feelings. It comes from knowing that YHWH is in control.
Our citizenship in Christ's Kingdom is sure,
our
destiny is set,
and we can have victory over sin.
Let
YHWH's peace guard your heart against anxiety.
We
have been given the peace of YHWH’shua HaMoschiach . Even though I might not understand what's going on, I have
a peace that bypasses my brain and permeates my heart. I might not know why things aren't working out, or why things are
coming down. But in the midst of it all, YHWH’shua offers me His peace.
Neither let it be afraid Μηδε δειλιατω, Let not your heart shrink
back through fear of any approaching evil. This is the proper meaning of the word. In a few hours ye will be most powerfully
assaulted; but stand firm: - the evil will only fall upon me; and this evil will result in your comfort and salvation, and
in the redemption of a lost world.
Rhomaios5
Therefore
being justified by faith, we have shalom with Elohim (אלהים)
through Adoneinu YHWH’shua (יהושע) Ha Moshiach:
By whom also we have access by emunah into this unmerited
favour wherein we stand, and rejoice in tikvah of the glory of Elohim (אלהים).And
not only [so], but we glory in tzorot (affliction, troubles) also: knowing that tzarah (trouble) worketh patience; And patience,
experience; and experience, tikvah: And tikvah maketh not ashamed; because the love of Elohim (אלהים) is shed abroad in our hearts by the Ruach HaKodesh which is given unto us.
For when we were yet without strength, in due time Moshiach died for the wicked. For scarcely for a tzadik will one die: yet
peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But Elohim (אלהים)
commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Moshiach died for us.Much more then, being now justified
by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to Elohim
(אלהים) by the death of His Son, much more, being reconciled,
we shall be saved by his life. And not only [so], but we also joy in Elohim (אלהים)
through Adoneinu YHWH’shua Ha Moshiach, by whom we have now received the atonement.Wherefore, as by one man sin
entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: (For until the
Torah sin was in the olam hazeh: but sin is not imputed when there is no Torah.Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Mosheh,
even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to
come. But not as the offence, so also [is] the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the unmerited
favour of Elohim (אלהים), and the gift by unmerited favour, [which
is] by one man, YHWH’shua (יהושע) Ha Moshiach, hath abounded unto many.
And not as [it was] by one that sinned, [so is] the gift: for the mishpat [was] by one to condemnation, but the free gift
[is] of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive
abundance of unmerited favour and of the gift of Tzedek shall reign in life by One, YHWH’shua (יהושע) ha Moshiach.) Therefore as by the offence of one [judgment came] upon all men
to condemnation; even so by the Tzedek of one [the free gift came] upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one
man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made tzadik. Moreover the Torah entered,
that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, unmerited favour did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto
death, even so might unmerited favour reign through Tzedek unto eternal life by YHWH’shua (יהושע) Ha Moshiach Adoneinu.
The end result of the Ruach HaKodesh work in our lives is deep and lasting
peace. Unlike worldly peace, which is usually defined as the absence of conflict, this peace is confident assurance in any
circumstance; with YHWH’shua's peace, we have no need to fear the present or the future. Sin, fear, uncertainty,
doubt, and numerous other forces are at war within us. The peace of YHWH moves into our hearts and lives to restrain these
hostile forces and offer comfort in place of conflict. YHWH’shua says he will give us that peace if we are willing to
accept it from him. If your life is full of stress, allow theRuach HaKodesh to fill you with YHWH’shua's peace
Ephesios 6:18
Praying always with all prayer
and supplication in the Ruach, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all set apart ones;
To be watchful in the Ruach is to stay alive, to be
alert.
Watch
ye, stand fast in the
faith, quit you like men, be strong. And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. Ye are all
the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. Therefore let us not sleep,
as [do] others; but let us watch and be zililut da'as (sober). For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be
drunken are drunken in the night. But let us, who are of the day, be zililut da'as (sober minded),
putting on the choshen (breastplate) of emunah (faith) and ahavah (love); and for a kovah (helmet), the tikvah (hope) of yeshu'at Eloheinu (salvation). Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about,
seeking whom he may devour: Be Shomer (watchful), and strengthen the things which remain,
that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before Elohim (אלהים). Hinnei, I come as a thief. Blessed [is] he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.
Someone wrote
“Restraining
prayer, we cease to fight; Prayer makes the Believers armour bright, And Satan trembles
when he sees. The meanest saint upon his knees.”
Watch for opportunities to pray; watch for the spirit of prayer; watch against all those
things which would hinder prayer; Never becoming discouraged and disheartened;
Ephesios 6:18
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Ruach,
and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all set apart ones; And for me, that
utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the Good News, For which I am
an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Contending
for the Faith
Jude1:1
Yehudah,
the eved of YHWH’shua (ivsy) Ha Moshiach, and achi of Yaakov, to them that are sanctified by Elohim (אלהים) Ha AVI, and preserved
in YHWH’shua (ivsy) Ha Moshiach, [and] called:
Rachamim unto you, and Shalom,
and ahava, be multiplied
Beloved, when I gave all
diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort [you] that ye should
earnestly contend for the emunah which was once delivered unto the kiddushimFor there are certain men crept in unawares, who
were before of old ordained to this condemnation, wicked men, turning the grace of our Elohim (אלהים) into lasciviousness, and
denying the only YHWH Elohim (אלהים), and YHWH’shua
(ivsy) Ha Moshiach.I will therefore put you in remembrance, though ye once knew this, how that YHWH, having saved the
people out of ha eretz Mitzrayim, afterward destroyed them that believed not.And the malakhim which kept not
their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the mishpat
of the great day. Even as Sedom and Amora, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to
fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.Likewise
also these [filthy] dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak ra'ah of dignities.Yet Mika'el the chief
Malak, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Mosheh, durst not bring against him a railing accusation,
but said, YHWH rebuke thee But these speak ra'ah of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as
brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
Woe
unto them! for they have gone in the way of Kayin, and ran greedily after the toyus (error) Bil'am
for reward, and perished in the rebellion of Karach. These are the men who are hidden reefs in your moedim ahava when
they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without mayim, carried along by winds; autumn trees without
fruit, doubly dead, uprooted; Wild waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom
is reserved the blackness of darkness le olam va ed. And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Hinnei,
YHWH cometh with ten thousands of his kiddushim,
To
execute mishpat
upon all, and to convince all that are wicked among them of all their wicked deeds which they have wicked committed, and of
all their hard [speeches] which wicked sinners have spoken against him. These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their
own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling [words], having men's persons in admiration because of advantage. But,
beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the Shlichim of Adoneinu YHWH’shua (ivsy) Ha
Moshiach; How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should halak after their own wicked lusts.
These be they who separate themselves, sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your kodesh
kodeshim (most holy) emunah, praying in Ruach ha Kodesh, Keep yourselves in the ahav of Elohim (אלהים), looking for the rachamim
of Adoneinu YHWH’shua (ivsy) Ha Moshiach unto Chayim Olam. And of some have compassion, making a difference:
And others save with fear, pulling [them] out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. Now unto him that
is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of His Kavod with exceeding joy, To the
only wise Elohim (אלהים) Moshieinu, [be] Kavod
and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen.
